Lincoln Electric acquiring Severstal welding business

Russian steel giant Severstal is selling a downstream unit of its metalware segment to a Cleveland-based company for an undisclosed amount.

The steelmaker has entered into an agreement with Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. to divest Severstal-metiz Welding Consumables, a manufacturer of welding consumables in Russia. Included in the deal are the manufacturing operations and exclusive distribution rights of the Severstal brand of welding consumables. ....
