Metal import, export prices stronger in 2010

Iron and steel and copper saw strong increases in export pricing in December, and copper import prices also rose, while iron and steel import tags were flat, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
The iron and steel export price index was put at 197.6 last month, up 3.9 percent from November and 14.4 percent higher than December 2009. The import price index of 228.9 was virtually unchanged from November but 16.3 percent higher than....
