Ferrous scrap PPI posts 8.4% gain in Dec.

Metals price indices generally gained in December, although two aluminum categories defied the monthly trend.
The iron and steel scrap price index jumped to 581.8 during the month, up 8.4 percent from 536.9 in November and 39.5 percent higher year on year, according to the latest Producer Price Index (PPI) report from the U.S.....
