Boron loophole for steel exports to close

Chinese steelmakers' practice of adding boron to carbon steel to qualify for tax rebates might come to an end amid a looming review of the country's export rebates, steel market sources said.

Speculation has been circulating for weeks, but intensified after the China Economic Information Daily reported that the government is reviewing export tax rebates on a range of products, including steel.....
