Metals industry shipments fall in December

The value of metals industry shipments logged across-the-board declines in December compared with the previous month, according to the latest Census Bureau data.
Aluminum and nonferrous metals producers saw the biggest drop in delivery values, down 8.6 percent on a not-seasonally-adjusted basis; followed by metal fabricators, off 3.2 percent; and iron and steel mills, declining 2 percent.....
