PHILADELPHIA Exports of No. 1 heavy melting steel scrap inched down in the final month of last year despite a sharp spike in shipments to Turkey, the leading importer of U.S.-sourced ferrous scrap.
Shipments of No. 1 heavy melt slipped to 573,383 tonnes in December, down 0.7 percent from the years monthly high of 577,687 tonnes registered in November, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Commerce Department.....
