China's daily aluminum output near all-time high

SHANGHAI, China Chinas average daily output of aluminum and copper jumped month on month in February, while nickel output sank to a three-month low.
Chinas daily primary aluminum output reached 46,607 tonnes in February, just 260 tonnes shy of the record high achieved last June, as smelters continued to ramp up as energy curbs fade. Thats up 11.3 percent from January but down 0.5 percent year on year, according data from Chinas National Statistics Bureau.
"This is within expectations as many smelters, especially those in Henan and Guizhou, have been resuming operations in the past two months as local governments ease limitations on power," an analyst in Shanghai said.....
