Scrap veteran named Pa. environmental secretary

PHILADELPHIA Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett will nominate former scrap industry executive Richard J. Allan as secretary of the states Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
Allan is currently serving as acting secretary of the DCNR, pending confirmation of his appointment by the state Senate. Pennsylvanias DCNR maintains and preserves the states parks. It also manages 2.1 million acres of state forest land and is charged with monitoring the increasing number of Marcellus Shale natural gas wells being drilled on state forestland.....
