Recycler sues Wichita over denial of shredder permit

PITTSBURGH — Midwest Scrap Management Inc. is suing the City of Wichita over its decision not to award the company the permit it needs to build an auto shredder in an industrial area.
The St. Joseph, Mo.-based recycler is appealing a May decision by local council members to deny a conditional-use permit. Midwest Scrap contends it meets all criteria required for the permit.....
