SINGAPORE Vietnams long steel product and flat-rolled sheet markets are heating up as buyers return to the market.
Long steel consumption in Vietnam rose in August for the second consecutive month amid restocking, according to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA).
The country consumed 483,000 tonnes of long steel products in August, up 35 percent from the previous month but still down 1 percent from August 2010.
"Sales for June and July were very low because traders and buyers postponed buying. They had to start buying in August because some stocks are not available anymore," VSA general secretary Dinh Huy Tam said.....
