Cisa launches iron ore index in effort to influence pricing

SHANGHAI, China The China Iron and Steel Association (Cisa) has launched its iron ore index and will start publishing weekly data in October.
The index is part of an effort by China, the worlds largest consumer of steelmaking raw material, to have a greater influence on iron ore pricing and appears to be a challenge to existing spot market indices, including one published daily by AMM....
