SHANGHAI, China — China’s Sichuan Hongda Group has signed a $3-billion joint-venture deal with Tanzania to develop an iron ore and coal project in the African country.

The deal includes the development of the Liganga iron ore mine in southern Tanzania and the Mchuchuma coal mine, as well as construction of a 600MW thermal power station, according to Tanzanian media reports. ....
