Ryerson retrenches in effort to 'streamline'

NEW YORK Chicago-based metals distributor Ryerson Inc.s chief procurement officer Leslie Norgren and senior product manager of stainless Steve Davidson have been made redundant, AMM has learned.
Norgren and Davidson were no longer with Ryerson as of Thursday, a caller to the company was told Friday.
Some 13 employees at the companys headquarters office in Chicago have also been let go, and its regional office in Denver has been closed, AMM has learned.
"We did take some actions to streamline our organization," a Ryerson spokesman told AMM, but he didnt confirm the number or names of the employees who were laid off. ....
