Precoat acquires Roll Coater to build business base

CHICAGO — St. Louis-based coil coater Precoat Metals has acquired Indianapolis-based Roll Coater Inc. in an effort to build out its customer base.
"We are going to merge these two companies under the Precoat brand," a spokesman for Precoat’s parent company Sequa Corp., Tampa, Fla., told AMM on Tuesday. "Market share (of the merged assets) is going to vary by (end-use) sector, (but) Roll Coater brings sectors that Precoat didn’t participate in."....
