LAS VEGAS — Steel distributors heard clashing views on the outlook for futures trading from different points on the supply chain.
John McConnell, chairman and chief executive officer of processor and distributor Worthington Industries Inc., and Keith Busse, chairman and chief executive officer of Fort Wayne, Ind.-based producer Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI), gave the Association of Steel Distributors’ fall conference in Las Vegas divergent assessments of what’s ahead for steel futures and hedging.....
