GBC files prospectus for potential IPO

NEW YORK Global Brass and Copper Holdings Inc. (GBC) has filed a prospectus for an initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), seeking to raise as much as $150 million in capital.
Earnings will be used to finance the business and pay off debts, the company said in the filing. GBC, which had about $36.4 million in cash as of June 30 and $313.9 million in debt, described itself in the filing as "highly leveraged."....
