PHILADELPHIA Akron Iron & Metal LLC has agreed to pay a $142,200 penalty to settle alleged violations of Ohios air pollution control laws at its Canton, Ohio, metal salvage operation.
The company, located in Stark County, apparently installed three jet torches in March 2008 without first obtaining a permit from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, the state agency said.....
