Earthquake still taking toll on Toyota profits

CHICAGO Toyota Motor Corp. continues to feel the financial effects of the March earthquake and tsunami that constrained its global automotive supply chain and production.
The company posted net income of 80.4 billion yen ($1.03 billion) during its fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, down 18.5 percent from 98.7 billion yen in the same period last year on global sales that slid 4.8 percent to 4.57 trillion yen ($53.8 billion) from 4.81 trillion yen.....
