CHICAGO The quality of material and an ability to work with a steel mill is more critical to a domestic producer than the price of scrap, according to a top executive at Evraz Inc. North America.
"Scrap is a commodity, but we go to a limited set of scrap suppliers because we can rely on quality, delivery and flexibility. We put things other than price into the equation, such as how much can we rely on you to deliver and to give the grades that we request," John Zanieski, president of recycling at Evraz Inc. NA, told....
