CHICAGO The steep tumble in November ferrous scrap prices came as a surprise, and the market may have to prepare itself for more of the same when the next round of deals is concluded.
"Looking at December, we will still have the same pressures that could cause further weakness," Allan Goldstein, president and chief executive officer of AMG Resources Corp., Pittsburgh, told attendees at AMMs Steel Scrap Conference in Chicago. "We expect markets to hold at current levels in December."....
