TORONTO U.S. officials have postponed a decision on whether to approve TransCanada Corp.s Keystone XL pipeline project until 2013.
The U.S. State Department said in a release Thursday that additional time is necessary to explore alternate routes for the pipeline through Nebraska, one of six states the pipeline would run through.
The department was particularly concerned with the pipelines potential impact on the Sand Hills region of the state, which it said contains a sensitive ecosystem.....
