NEW YORK Strong demand in the North American automotive and commercial transportation sectors contributed to solid third-quarter earnings for Russian aluminum producer United Co. Rusal.
"Market uncertainty and anticipation of another global economic downturn put significant pressure on the aluminum industry in the third quarter," Rusal chief executive officer Oleg Deripaska said in a statement. ....
