Indian import ferrous scrap prices unchanged; distressed container loads sold below market

Prices for containerised ferrous scrap imported into India were unchanged this week as neither buyers nor sellers were willing to budge following several weeks of price falls.
Buying interest was thin on a depreciating rupee against the US dollar, and uncertainty over the direction of prices resulted in both sides of the trade taking a wait-and-see approach.
Offers for shredded material were at $440-445....
