Honda to invest $84M, add stamping line at Ala. plant

CHICAGO Honda Motor Co. Ltd. will invest $84 million in its Honda Manufacturing of Alabama LLC plant, hire 100 new full-time employees and raise its annual production capacity to 340,000 vehicles and engines.
Honda will install a third stamping line capable of making vehicle body parts in both steel and aluminum at the plant in Lincoln, Ala. The stamping line will supply parts for the Acura MDX sport utility vehicle as well as for the existing production lineup: the Honda Odyssey minivan, the Honda Pilot sport utility vehicle and the Honda Ridgeline pickup, as well as the vehicles V-6 engines.....
