Magic Steel plans expansion, adds new slitter

CHICAGO — Flat-rolled processor and distributor Magic Steel Sales LLC built a plant at the height of the recession, and two years later is building a 40,000-square-foot warehouse addition at its Decatur, Ala. plant.

"We broke ground just as everything was falling apart in banking," Mike Welch, vice president of operations at Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Magic Steel, told AMM.....
