NEW YORK Competition in upstate New Yorks scrap market is heating up after scrap metal recycler Niagara Metals LLC made its first acquisition this week.
The company acquired the assets and business of Ben Singer & Sons Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., including its rail transloading yard in Lackawanna, N.Y., a company spokesman told AMM Thursday.....
