Alcoa signs tech deal with Brazilian aircraft producer

NEW YORK — Alcoa Inc. has signed an agreement with Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer SA to develop technology for that company’s aircraft fleet.

Alcoa will use proprietary aluminum alloys and fastener technologies to assist in Embraer’s development of new metallic fuselage and wings for its fleet, the Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer said Thursday.....
