Steel players join Pa. manufacturing group

NEW YORK — A new council was formed this week to promote, sustain and advance manufacturing in Pennsylvania.

The 23-member council includes interests in the heavy machinery, mining and steel sectors, among other industries.

"The council will research issues and make recommendations that will further strengthen that industry and ultimately allow manufacturers to add jobs for Pennsylvanians," Gov. Tom Corbett said in a statement. ....
