Auto suppliers optimistic in 2012 sector outlook

CHICAGO The outlook for automotive suppliers has brightened during the past two months, and three-fourths of companies plan to invest in plants and equipment next year, according to a survey by the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA).
The sector also is seeing a localization trend that could bode well for producers of automotive raw materials, including steel, according to Troy, Mich.-based OESA, which conducts the Automotive Supplier Barometer survey every two months.....
