Mexican auto sector grows, falloff feared

MEXICO CITY — Auto industry suppliers in Mexico produced parts valued at $65 billion in 2011, up 13 percent from $57.54 billion last year, according to the national suppliers’ association, Industria Nacional de Autopartes AC (Ina).
But Ina’s forecast for next year calls for an increase of just 1 percent over 2011, to $65.72 billion, and senior board member Joaquín Loose told AMM he’s fearful of what lies further ahead.....
