PITTSBURGH A six-month investigation of two Stephens County, Ga., metals recyclers came to a head Wednesday when 60 agents raided the operations and a county court indicted at least nine individuals.
Whitlocks Recycling, also known as J.V. Whitlock Recycle, and Carters Royal Dispos-All Inc. have been separately charged with two counts of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (Rico) Act, operating a chop shop, unlawful regulated metals transactions and unlawful payment by recyclers, according to indictments filed in Stephens County Superior Court.
At Whitlocks Recycling, Jeff Whitlock Jr., owner, along with Sharon Lee Rollins, Eric Keith Whitlock, Courtney Mulkey Bohannon, Katherine Denise Whitlock, William C. Hunt Jr., Alex Weston Hill and Tony Lee Wilbanks were arrested and named in the indictment. Royal Dispos-All owner John Levis Carter and other unidentified co-conspirators were arrested at the second scrapyard.....
