China steel demand growth to slow in ‘12, processor says

NEW YORK Steel processor China Precision Steel Inc. expects somewhat slower growth in the Chinese steel sector next year due to high inventories and the governments efforts to rein in inflation, a top company executive told AMM Thursday.
"Demand is still there, but it will be a little bit slower until inventories are at a reasonable level," chief financial officer Leada Li said.....
