European secondary aluminium prices in wide range as LME recovers

European secondary aluminium ingot prices fell on the low end on Friday, as a recovery in the primary aluminium price amid continuing economic turmoil produced a wide range of prices for concluded deals.
DIN226 pressure diecasting ingot dipped to €1,660-1,740 ($2,235—2,342) per tonne from €1,690-1,740 previously, with prices at the higher end found in the German market and lower prices seen in southern Europe.
“I hear weaker prices in southern Europe, especially in Italy,” a German producer said. ....
