Automakers post solid November sales

CHICAGO The United States seven largest automakers sold a total of 848,123 vehicles in November, up 13.4 percent from the same month last year but down 3 percent from October.
Factory and dealer inventories remain in line with sales, according to General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co., and production is likely to move up incrementally during the first quarter of 2012.
Total sales in 2011 may come in at the low end of previous estimates at about 13 million vehicles, including medium- and heavy-duty trucks, said Don Johnson, GMs vice president of U.S. sales operations.....
