Appeals court upholds $1 million award to recycler

PITTSBURGH — The Missouri Court of Appeals has sided with a St. Louis recycler that was forced to vacate her land to a redevelopment agency.
The challenger’s unsuccessful attempt to overturn the decision means Opal Henderson, owner and operator of Opal’s Salvage Yard for 61 years, will receive the $1 million awarded by a jury in 2010.....
