Toyota to ship US-built Camrys to S. Korea

NEW YORK — Toyota Motor North America Inc. said Monday it plans to export some 6,000 U.S.-assembled Camry sedans annually to its distributor in South Korea, marking the first time U.S.-built Camrys will be shipped outside of North America.

The move also lends early support to claims that the free-trade agreement (FTA) signed in late November by President Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will provide expanded access for domestic manufacturers to the South Korean market.....
