MINES AND MONEY: Mines and metals IPO pipeline still healthy on TSX

There will be a steady stream of mining and metals flotations coming to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in the coming year, according to Ungad Chadda, a senior vp at parent company TMX.
In the ten months to October 31, the exchange saw 124 new mining listings on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), which is aimed at junior companies, up from 118 in the corresponding period in 2010, and more are expected before the year-end.
“I think there’s a lot of long-term planning and a lot them were early stage properties. They all need to work through cycles of ups and downs and it can take a couple of years to prove out all their assets,” Chadda told Metal Bulletin on the sidelines of the Mines and Money conference in London on Wednesday December 7. ....
