South African mining output falls in Q3; sales increase

South African mining production declined by almost 7% in the three months ended October 2011, while physical sales showed a strong increase, according to figures published by Statistics South Africa on December 8.
Mining output was 6.7% lower in the third quarter compared with the corresponding period of 2010.
