UK ferrous scrap prices flat to £5 per tonne up for December deliveries

UK ferrous scrap prices for deliveries to mills were mixed in December, as the two dominant buyers used different tactics to conclude negotiations with merchants.
This meant HMS 1&2 (80:20) prices increased to £225-240 ($353-377) per tonne delivered, from £225-235 in November. OA prices were up to £240-255 delivered, from £240-250 previously.
The remaining assessment for cut grades, 12 A/C/D, remained unchanged....
