US challenging EU’s claims it removed Airbus subsidies

NEW YORK — The United States is formally challenging the European Union’s claims that it complied with a World Trade Organization (WTO) request to remove Airbus SAS aircraft subsidies.

The WTO Dispute Settlement Body previously recommended that the European Union, along with member states that financially support Airbus, take appropriate steps to withdraw the subsidies or remove adverse effects within six months.....
