CME launches hot-rolled coil options contract

NEW YORK
CME Group Inc. launched its new hot-rolled coil steel options contract this week, giving steel producers and users an alternative to the exchanges existing steel futures contract for managing risk.
The new financially settled contractwhich was announced in November but went live Mondaywill allow participants to buy put or call options in 20-short-ton units in order to help mitigate their price risk, according to the Chicago-based exchange.....
