USS restarts Z-Line at Hamilton: union

TORONTO U.S. Steel Corp. has resumed the galvanizing and galvannealing Z-Line at its steelmaking complex in Hamilton, Ontario, according to a union official.
The Pittsburgh-based steelmaker started running coils through the Z-Line on Friday and is now in the process of ramping up production, United Steelworkers union Local 1005 President Rolf Gerstenberger told AMM.
"Its not anywhere near full production, but they are running," Gerstenberger said. Local 1005 represents USW members at the Hamilton Works.....
