Turkish import scrap prices soar on end-of-year buying

Turkish import scrap prices soared this
week as the cfr Iskenderun index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) increased by more than
$15 from Monday to reach $450.10 per tonne on December 14.
Around ten deep-sea cargoes have been sold to buyers in Turkey over the past
week, with European prices for the base grade of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $436-448
per tonne cfr depending on origin.
Higher grade cargoes also carried a much higher premium with tonnages of....
