U.S. Steel aims to cut work hours at Slovakia ops in January

TORONTO Workers at U.S. Steel Corp.s facilities in Kosice, Slovakia, might work only four days a week beginning in January, according to the company.
U.S. Steel Kosice management and local trade unions have already discussed the arrangement, a spokesman for U.S. Steel Kosice told AMM via e-mail Thursday.
"The new regime will enable the company to be flexible enough to meet the needs of our customers," the U.S. Steel spokesman said.....
