Ottawa drops lawsuit against US Steel

US Steel Corp will continue to work in Canada after the country’s federal government dropped its lawsuit against the Pittsburgh-based company on Monday.
US Steel has agreed to continue operations in Canada until 2015 under a deal that ends a dispute over its acquisition in 2007 of the Stelco steel plants at Hamilton and Lake Erie, Ontario.
