Higher ferrous scrap costs push CIS billet export prices up by $20

CIS mini-mills have pushed billet export prices up by $20 per tonne in a fortnight for January production on higher ferrous scrap costs.

Demand for CIS billet remains slack and mills have been struggling to secure deals. Most consumers have been sitting out of the market until the new year, Metal Bulletin was told.....
