Evraz gets OK to boost Colo. capacity

TORONTO Evraz Inc. North America has been cleared to increase steel production by more than 33 percent at its Pueblo, Colo., operations, according to a state environmental official.
The Chicago-based steelmaker has received permission to make up to 1.35 million tons of steel per year at the Pueblo facility, according to an air quality permit issued Nov. 30 and obtained by AMM. Thats up from a previous cap of 1.01 million tons per year, according to William C. Allison V, director of the Air Pollution Control division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.....
