W. Coast tube makers fall in line, up tags $50/T

LOS ANGELES — More than a month after structural steel tube producers east of the Rockies launched two rounds of price hikes, some key mills on the West Coast are beginning to mount their first increase.

At least two California producers—Sante Fe Springs-based Maruichi American Corp. and Los Angeles-based Vest Inc.—have begun informing customers of a $50-per-ton ($2.50-per-hundredweight) increase effective immediately, market sources said.....
