European copper premiums ease as 2011 draws to a close

European copper premiums eased on Tuesday December 20 as spot business dried up ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.    Metal Bulletin's average premium for copper in warehouse Rotterdam edged down to $55 per tonne on Tuesday December 20, from $58.13 per tonne previously. Premiums paid are in a wide range of $35-75 per tonne, however.  This is due to the different types of material available and people destocking before the year end, according to traders.
