TORONTO Vallourec SAs new small-diameter pipe mill in Youngstown, Ohio, is nearing completion, with hot commissioning confirmed for the end of this month and industrial start-up expected by the second quarter of 2012.
More than 1,200 workers are on-site as maintenance, electrical, plumbing, equipment assembly and installation work ramps up, Vallourec & Mannesmann USA Corp. (V&M) said in a December newsletter to customers. The Houston-based subsidiary of Boulogne-Billancourt, France-based Vallourec celebrated the mills completion in September with the placement of the final steel beam in....
